“Art is an exploratory activity, during which our creativity searches for new paths.”

/György Ligeti/

Welcome to the World of Nikolettart…

… where creative processes are controlled by experimentation and curiosity!

This is true for figural and landscape representations, but also for intuitive and colorful works made with pastel chalk or mixed media, featuring different materials, the atmosphere of which is created by the joint work of shapes and colors. The most important thing for me is that my paintings find a way to the soul of the recipient, and that the arising emotions, thoughts, memories and impressions provide him with a lasting experience.

Happy immersion to everyone!

About

As a student at the Éva Paksi drawing studio I have got acquainted with various graphic and then painting techniques, and initially became a dedicated fan of pastel chalk. However, I did not stop experimenting or expanding my further artistic knowledge, so I have studied with the painters Gábor Atlasz, Andrea Dorogi, Balázs Fischer, Zsuzsa Kosiczky and Zoltán Székács, as well as with the Argentinian Lauria Podio.

Nikolettart

In 2019, I have won the special prize of the Bakelit Muti Art Center Talent Competition for Fine Arts with a pastel chalk work. Since then, I have been constantly developing not only in my visual world, but also in the field of the diverse application of color harmonies, color depths and tones. A wide range of feelings, experiences, impressions, and impulses can be found in my pictures, and there are often randomly created forms, shapes, or gestural moments with secondary meaning.

In addition to figurative and landscape paintings, I like colorful and intuitive works made with mixed techniques and featuring different surface elements. I try to make them more exciting by the play of symbols, shapes and colors. The latter are often completely abandoning figurality and developing through the abstract tradition and gestural painting, so the color effect and structural design are the focus. The varied play of surface qualities, the formation of sometimes randomly formed patterns, or even parts constructed with engineering precision, masked, painted over, glazed vary in my works. Their essence is the atmosphere, freshness, dynamism, as well as the emotions, thoughts, memories and impressions arising in the receiver.
